Microsoft Patch Tuesday June 2015 bring 08 security bulletins addressing a total of 45 vulnerabilities using a vulnerability management tool. This month high priority fix is for Internet Explorer which alone addresses 24 out of 45 vulnerabilities.

This month 2 bulletins are rated as Critical, addressing 25 vulnerabilities and 6 are rated as Important. A patch management tool can patch these vulnerabilities.

Critical security updates addresses security issues in Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 11 and Windows Media Player. All of them potentially allow Remote Code Execution and even though Microsoft Office and Microsoft Common Controls are marked as Important they allows Remote Code Execution. Overall 4 out of 8 bulletins allow Remote Code Execution, hence these bulletins are high priority for deploying patches.

Attackers can trigger vulnerability (and execute malicious code on the user systems) in Internet Explorer just by convincing the users to visit a malicious web page, similarly attacker can trigger the vulnerability (and execute malicious code on the user systems) in Windows Media Player by convincing the users to open malicious media files.

The other 6 important security updates address issues in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Common Controls, Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers, Active Directory Federation Services, Windows Kernel, Microsoft Exchange Server.
