In this Patch Tuesday, Microsoft Patch Tuesday July 2014 released Six Bulletins addressing a total of 29 vulnerabilities. This month also the high priority fix is for Internet Explorer, which alone addresses 24 out of 29 vulnerabilities.

Two are rated as Critical, addressing 25 vulnerabilities, three are rated as Important and one is rated as Moderate .

Critical security updates addresses security issues in Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 11 and Windows Journal. Both of them potentially allow Remote Code Execution.

The other four security updates address issues in On-Screen Keyboard, Ancillary Function Driver (AFD), DirectShow, Microsoft Service Bus.

Severity Rating: Important

MS14-041: Vulnerability in DirectShow Could Allow Elevation of Privilege (2975681)

Severity Rating: Important

MS14-042: Vulnerability in Microsoft Service Bus Could Allow Denial of Service (2972621)
