Everyone has stories to tell from the past. Why is the past always interesting while the present is not intriguing? The same past we glorify was present once. As we pause to reflect on 17 years of SecPod, we’re not just celebrating milestones – we’re reminding ourselves that the story we’ll tell tomorrow is being written today. Seventeen years ago, SecPod began as an ambitious idea to redefine how cybersecurity is pursued. Since then, we’ve grown into a company with global reach, trusted by customers in over 60+ countries, and respected for our commitment to proactive, prevention-first security. Today, we are tackling some of the most pressing and complex challenges in cybersecurity:

  • We are solving modern cybersecurity challenges by addressing AI safety and ensuring that intelligent systems are secure by design.
  • Our cloud security offering is evolving rapidly as we enable organizations to secure dynamic, distributed, and hybrid environments.
  • We are reimagining the product experience to make powerful tools accessible, usable, and delightful for security and IT teams.
  • We are engaging with some of the largest enterprises in the world, helping them stay resilient against evolving threats.
  • We are laying the foundation for a robust and holistic strategy through PREVENT – a blueprint for proactive cybersecurity.

What excites us even more is how this journey is shaping our organization:

  • We are onboarding brilliant minds who believe in our mission.
  • We are expanding our R&D footprint across geographies to bring diverse global talent into our fold.
  • We are actively investing in building an exceptional organizational culture and always ask: What’s the next best thing we can do?

The word security itself is often misunderstood. It is not about fear, it is about care. It is about prevention. Prevention, as nature teaches us, is the silent work that makes all life possible. The roots holding up a tree, the immune system quietly fending off harm, prevention is quiet, but powerful. When we fix a customer issue, when we chase down a nasty bug, we are not just closing tickets. We are protecting someone’s day from falling apart. We are giving people peace of mind. Can we make our work lives better? Can we feel excited each day, even on the ordinary ones? I believe we can. I believe we must.

Next 3 Years

The next 3 years will be pivotal as we move toward Year 20. The PREVENT Framework is our north star, guiding us to bring prevention-first security to new frontiers,

  • Applications that are securely built and continuously validated
  • Identities and access managed with zero-trust principles
  • Data protected across endpoints, servers, and clouds
  • OT/IoT environments hardened without complexity
  • AI systems monitored for misuse, manipulation, and bias

We are setting ambitious goals, not just in terms of product innovation but in how we operate, who we hire, and the global impact we aim to create. We envision a future where:

  • 500 SecPodians—a growing family of passionate innovators working together across geographies to push the boundaries.
  • Our platform secures over 5 million devices globally, delivering protection.
  • The PREVENT Framework is fully implemented, helping organizations proactively defend every layer of their computing infrastructure – devices, network, cloud, applications, identities, data, OT/IoT, and AI.

As we celebrate 17 years, we remain grounded in our values and inspired by what’s possible. As humans, we have all been 17 once, standing at the edge of adulthood, full of energy, hope, and just a touch of rebellion. Getting ready to turn 18, it felt like a rite of passage, “I will be an adult. I’ll make decisions, live life on my terms.” Can a company feel the same way a person does? I think it can. It is natural to compare because companies, like people, grow through their own rhythms. They make mistakes, learn from them, stretch themselves, fall, and rise again. At 17, we are no longer a fledgling startup. We are stepping into a space of self-assurance, with the wisdom of experience and the hunger of youth still intact. But are we there yet? That is the honest question I ask and I want all of us to think about it.

Finally, why does the past always feel more exciting than the present? Because the present is still in motion—it hasn’t been sealed by time. But here’s the truth: what we’re building today will be the stories we tell tomorrow. Let’s live the moments as we create history.
