Microsoft Patch Tuesday September 2014 was announced this month with Four Security Bulletins addressing a total of 42 vulnerabilities. The high priority fix is for Internet Explorer, which alone addresses 37 out of 42 vulnerabilities.

One is rated as Critical, addressing 37 vulnerabilities and three are rated as Important.

Critical security updates addresses security issues in Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 11 which allow Information Disclosure and Remote Code Execution.

The other three important security updates address issues in .NET Framework, Windows Task Scheduler and Microsoft Lync Server

Microsoft Internet Explorer Information Disclosure (disclose presence of files on local drives) Zero-day (CVE-2013-7331) which has been been exploited in the wild is patched in MS14-052 bulletin.

MS14-055: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Lync Server Could Allow Denial of Service (2990928)
Severity Rating: Important
Affected Software: Microsoft Lync Server
Impact: Information Disclosure and Denial of Service
